Football is perhaps the most popular event in the human history. The emergence of global market and current economic system and the idea of “football for football” erased the social and political functions of it. Like all other events in today’s world, football is also defined by the capital turnovers and its market. Yet, outside the professional world, the social and political functions of football are still traceable.
Football has become one of the most successful businesses in the world, in which the corporatization of local teams and transition of their social identity into the mere economic entities are perceived as professionalism. Every child interested in this game dreams about joining the world’s biggest clubs as a work force. However, it is still evident that football is a social phenomenon shaped by and meant for people, through which they can express their demands and concerns. Football is more than football; it is a space for people to shout their social and political demands.

This exhibition is our narration of football. The football that we know and the football that we love.

فوتبال احتمالا پرطرفدارترین رویدادی است که تاریخ بشر تاکنون تجربه کرده است. اگرچه با ظهور مناسبات جدید در بازار جهان، ایده‌ی «فوتبال برای فوتبال» کارکردهای اجتماعی و سیاسی فوتبال را از بین برده و فوتبال هم مانند دیگر پدیده‌ها با مناسبات گردش سرمایه تعریف می‌شود، اما هنوز هم کارکردهای اجتماعی و سیاسی فوتبال را می‌توان بیرون از مناسبات حرفه‌ای مشاهده کرد.
فوتبال به یکی از پرسود ترین تجارتهای بشر تبدیل شده است که در آن تغییر هویت اجتماعی تیم‌های محلی و حراج باشگاههای فوتبال به کارتل‌های اقتصادی، امری حرفه‌ای است. هر کودک علاقه‌مند به فوتبال، آمال و آرزوهای خود را در تبدیل شدن به نیروی کار باشگاههای بزرگ دنیا می‌داند. اما هنوز می‌توان دید که فوتبال پدیده‌ای از مردم و برای مردم است و می‌توانند آن را زبانی برای بیان دغدغه‌هایشان کنند. فوتبال چیزی فراتر از فوتبال است. جایی برای فریاد زدن خواست‌های اجتماعی و سیاسی.
این نمایشگاه، خرده روایت‌های ما از فوتبال است. فوتبالی که ما آن را می‌شناسیم. فوتبالی که ما آن را دوست داریم
