The city of Tehran and several other cities of Iran faced the surge of Coronavirus on the final days of July 2020. The Iranian government decided to reimpose the social restrictions to prevent the outbreak. Despite the outbreak of COVID-19, the competitions and practice of the only two women’s Hockey teams in Iran were held in the only Ice hockey rink (Iran Mall Rink) in the country.

در تنها پیست هاکی روی یخ ایران در ایران مال، تمرینات و مسابقه های دوستانه تنها دو تیم زنان ایران با وجود افزایش شیوع ویروس کرونا برگزار می شد

She was born in 1987 in Tehran. Maral Rasekhi started her sports activities/life with skating when she was 10 years old and she started her professional activities in inline hockey at 15 years old, she also got involved in snowboard. In 2007 and 2008 she played for Hong Kong's Dragon skate team in open international games and earned a team gold medal.
